Our children are growing up in a world very different from the one of our youth. Opportunities for learning and excitement have increased, yet so have potential dangers. From a very early age, youngsters face daily decisions and challenges regarding the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
Circle of Concern Consortium understands the key role that parents have in the development of happy and healthy children who make good decisions. It is also recognized that effective substance abuse prevention programs must include active parental involvement.

CCC offers support
To assist parents, Circle of Concern Consortium publishes A Parents’ Guide to Substance Abuse Prevention. First printed in English and now also available in Spanish, the Guide was written by parents, counselors, and educators from independent and parochial schools in the Denver metro area. It is intended as a useful resource to provide parents with helpful information regarding substance use and abuse by youth.
