Payment of modest annual dues of $40 for individuals and $60 for schools and other organizations enables members to participate in all the services offered by Circle of Concern Consortium. CCC is an all-volunteer organization, allowing maximum use of dues for programs and reduction of cost of A Parents’ Guide to Substance Abuse Prevention.

Monthly school-year meetings
Monthly CCC meetings create an on-going open dialogue among members and include distribution and discussion of information on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs and related child development issues. Videos and programs are presented for review by attendees for their potential use. Participants report on current programs and events that are open to CCC members.

Roundtable discussions
Roundtable networking sessions at some monthly meetings promote sharing of substance abuse prevention strategies and activities being implemented by member schools, organizations, and communities. Specific topics are determined by the current needs of members.

Guest speakers
Meetings provide an opportunity to hear guest professionals speak to issues of health, education, law enforcement, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Students and other community representatives often address CCC. Members may request these speakers for their schools, organizations, or communities.

PowerPoint program
A PowerPoint disk or CD-ROM is available that outlines the Guide and includes substance abuse statistics, photographs, and information about drugs and paraphernalia and about the role of parents in prevention. A member of CCC may be available, schedules permitting, to present the PowerPoint program.

Parents' Guide
Circle of Concern Consortium publishes A Parents’ Guide to Substance Abuse Prevention. Learn more about the Guide.
