Hear from community members about the difference CCC and A Parents' Guide to Substance Abuse Prevention have made in the lives of individuals, schools, and communities.
Dear Circle of Concern Consortium:
I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere thanks to the founders and leaders of Circle of Concern Consortium. Your organization has inspired me and other parents and teachers to persevere in our quest for a safer environment for our children.
CCC has provided me with valuable articles, booklets, and Web sites regarding topics pertinent to todays teens. The organization also has been an outstanding source of support (through problem-sharing and problem-solving discussions) when confronted with difficult issues.

To Whom It May Concern:
I first became acquainted with members of the Circle of Concern in 1999 when they were updating and gathering new material for the 3rd edition of their publication, A Parents Guide to Substance Abuse Prevention. I was immediately struck by their intellectual curiosity and ability to think outside the box. What they have created is a guide for parents that seeks to honestly and consciously grapple with the complexities of parenting children who are coming of age during an era that is fraught with challenges. Foremost among these is the awesome problem of drugs.
If every challenge in life also presents a possibility for learning and growth, what continues to impress me about the Circle of Concern is their willingness to explore these learning opportunities. They are continually addressing their own material with new ideas, current research, and an unwavering desire to understand and appreciate the challenges kids face today.
What brilliantly and consistently shines forth is their commitment to empower other parents who share their goals: to effectively guide, nurture, and sustain young people toward becoming healthy, self-reliant young adults.

To Whom It May Concern:
We have been proud to be involved with Circle of Concern Consortium since its inception. Its growth over the years is a testimony to its positive influence over the lives of students and parents, in partnership with the schools that have a stake in the future of our children.
Circle of Concern Consortium, in my experience, has been the most effective organization for promoting positive communication about life choice issues among parents, children and schools. I have found the organizations influence to be cumulative over time and educational in the best sense, providing a binding power for our school community on social and peer issues of common concern.
CCC really does complete the circle for the committed stakeholders in the lives of children, and for that we are very grateful.
